Family holidays in Belgium or the Netherlands
Amsterdam Zeeburg Hostel – The Netherlands
The best thing about the Netherlands is that they love families.
A city for living, a city for visiting, and a city full of cultural vibe. It’s also a place with a relaxed attitude to life and a nightlife that is filled with excitement. Amsterdam is packed with museums and galleries and a home to Rijksmuseum, a must-see museum dedicated to arts and history.
The small quaint streets, the canal district filled with blooming tulips and many squares create an atmosphere in Amsterdam that visitors find unique.
The perfect city to be discovered on wheels, so hire a bike and start exploring. Your kids will love it.
The group hostel Zeeburg in Amsterdam is truly fantastic. It is a state-of-the-art converted school building that offers modern and spacious facilities and benefits from having a cinema and a theatre. It is perfect for all types of groups and offers delicious breakfast too.
Great new family hostels in Belgium
Hasselt and Kortrikf: locations to suit children of all ages.
The diverse and vibrant beautiful country of Belgium goes beyond the buzzing city of Brussels and offers great opportunities for a family holiday to remember.
Our hostel location of Hasselt is ideal for families with young kids. There are countless activities and things to do available in this great spot. Plopsa Indoor, cycling (the province Limburg is called the ‘cycling paradise’ – bikes can be rented at the station, close to the hostel), Bokrijk (an open air museum, park and playground), Nature Reserve Kiewit (free entrance, educational programs) and Japanese gardens (free for kids up to 12 years).
Our hostel location in Kortrijk is ideal for families with kids that are a bit older (+ 12 year) as it offers the opportunity to learn about history related adventures. This really is a great base to discover Flanders Fields and World War I remembrance sites like In Flanders Fields and Talbot House museums.
Reminders of the country’s battles can be felt across the region: the history of Kortrijk, the Battle of the Golden Spurs and more.
