This week’s photo of the week comes from Monica Suma. We asked her to tell us a little about herself and what she was up to when she took this photo. This is what she said.
The picture is taken at the Six Harmonies Pagoda, while traveling through Hangzhou, China. A city of the Yangtze River Delta, 110 miles southwest of Shanghai, Hangzhou is best known for its legendary exceptional West Lake tea. While in China, I could not stop photographing random people’s faces; they fascinated me. This older Chinese woman is no exception; her genuine gaze and the spontaneity of the photo are priceless!
Monica is currently writing for Examiner.com, for the Travel channel. A media professional, Monica’s passions are traveling and photography, while sharing her experiences through writing. Her ultimate dream is to have her own travel column and travel show one day.
