Tolmin gorges

The picturesque and wild gorges are the lowest entry point to the Triglav national park. The Tolmin gorges is the name for the gorges of rivers Tolminka and Zadlaščica, which are one of the most fabulous natural sights. It would remain hidden from the world if the tourist society of tolmin would not carve a path into the gorges 50 years ago. Today the LTO worries about the maintenance of the path. It’s about 200 metres long and more than 60 metres deep gorge that the greenish-blue river of Tolminka cut into rock and made a narrow creek known as the gorge where sometimes the rocks are just a few feet away. The gorge of Zadlaščica is shorter, but no less beautiful. HI members get 20 % discount for entring the Tolmin gorges..
