The Reykjavik International Football Festival could be perfect choice for youth football teams that want to play over summer and have a trip of a lifetime.
Around 1700, boys and girls aged between 14 and 16 years will be playing at a number of stadiums, including the National Stadium, between July 25th and 29th 2012. Each team will play a minimum of 5 matches and trophies/awards will be given to all finalists.
Participants pay €120 per person, plus a one off team fee of €100 and this includes transfers to and from the airport, attendance at the opening ceremony, 5 nights accommodation at either the Reykjavik City Hostel or other youth accommodation, 5 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners, a geothermal swimmingpool party, BBQ in the family park and a big Disco with live music on the Saturday night. Flights not included.
Reykavik City Hostel
The Reykavik City Hostel is a modern and welcoming hostel situated in the Laugardalur Park, and is next door to the national football stadium and the biggest geothermal swimming pool which you will be visiting. It is also conveniently close to the city centre. Facilities at the hostel include internet access and free WIFI in common areas, coffee bar, TV, conference room with projector for power-point presentations and our regular cinema evenings, 3 fully-equipped guest kitchens, lockers and laundry. Rooms in the hostel are 2-6 bedded rooms; all 2- and 4-bedded rooms have ensuite facilities. The hostel is open 24 hours a day all year round and check-in is possible any time after 14.00.
