The HI-5ive Award “The Most Efficient Hostel” ceremony was held at HI Baan Dinso Hostel, Bangkok last week by Nidhi Akkaravivat – a hostel manager, Surashing Waewtiangtam – HI Thailand CEO, and Pravee Peter Komolkanchana – HI RDC Asia-Pacific. The winner of “The world’s best HI hostel” 2 years in a row, they maintained their world class of service and quality to achieve the “most efficient hostel” for 2011.
Mr.Nidhi reveals the secret of success that the efficiency created by all staff combined with the implementation of HI-Q is the key essence to enable them to achieve the goal. After a year of HI-Q quality management implementation, it has been adapted and simplified to be suitable with the hostel’s own business culture to satisfy not only customers but also operation staff at all levels. Recently, the hostel has invested in go-green technology to reduce the use of paper. The guest can check in by signing on a monitor screen without wasting any piece of paper.
Baan Dinso Hostel’s aim is to become one of the first carbon-free accommodations in Bangkok. The hostel manager also informed the national association that HI Baan Dinso would have projects to open more HI branded hostels in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Cha-Am in the very near future.
