Korea World Travel Fair (KOFTA)
The Korea World Travel Fair is the largest gathering of international and national tourism-related organisations in Korea and typically attracts over 100,000 travel professionals, consumers and visitors during the 3-day fair. This year the fair was held in Seoul between 2-5 June and brought together travel, destination and accommodation organisations from all around the world. It was hugely popular and was the perfect place for visitors to meet travel representatives and get the latest tips and destination advice from a wide range of travel experts all under the one roof.
HI Wins Best PR Award
HI Korea and Swiss YHA were leading the HI presence at the KOFTA travel fair and we are pleased to announce the HI booth won Best PR Award 2011. This is great news and a fantastic result for all the hard work put in by Korea YHA and RDCs Damian and Peter who have helped to make this happen. Everyone thinks the award came to the HI Booth because we conveyed a very clear message as to what Hostelling International and the Real Hostel Experience is all about to our visitors. We also offered a whole range of spoken languages at the HI booth including Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and even some German too!
The Korea World Travel Fair vision is to promote and make available travel information through the sharing and exchange of new services, products and ideas. For visitors interested in travel and the tourism industry, it gives the perfect opportunity to experience the culture and unique travel destinations from representatives of over 50 countries. We would to say HI to all of our visitors are are looking forward to KOFTA 2012 and the opportunity to share the real hostel experience with all our visitors same time next year.
