Melbourne Zoo is the country’s oldest zoo, and is located just 4 kilometres from the city centre. Home to over 2000 animals of 320 different species, both native to Australia and from around the world, plus hundreds of free shows and talks each day; this is the perfect place to discover your new favourite furry friend!

Royal Botanic Gardens

The Royal Botanic Gardens are internationally renowned; and it is very easy to see why! Located near the centre of Melbourne, sprawling across 38 hectares and proudly displaying over 50,000 plants, as well as being home to the Melbourne Observatory; it is one of the most beautiful ways to spend a Melburnian day and escape some of the city hustle and bustle.

Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Known simply as “The G”, this sports ground is treasured by Australians as they are brought here as students and continue their love affair as they grow older! The home of Australian football, test and one day cricket; it is well worth a guided tour, grabbing a drink at the in-house bar or maybe even attending a game! Sports fans will love the sporting statues and National Sports Museum, too!

Queen Victoria Market

At seven hectares; The Queen Victoria Market is the largest open air market in the Southern Hemisphere, and is considered the soul of the city by locals and visitors alike.
