Visit Niagara Falls this winter, and in the spring, and in summer and in autumn too!
Some great events are happening this winter near our great HI Niagara Falls Hostel in Canada. A fabulous region, also offering great opportunities when the weather isn’t that cold.

Vineyards, especially the Ice Wine Festival at the end of January: Niagara-on-The-Lake is a beautiful region with a micro-climate and is renowned for its vineyards. In the summer, it’s great to visit by bike, without the ice. Click here to take a look.
This February, North America is celebrating Black History Month, a great educational opportunity for groups of all ages and Niagara Falls is where slavery was abolished in Canada. There’s a Freedom Road with 13 historic sites to visit. During this month, the hostel will show the movie “Book of Negroes” with a presentation/discussion after.
The Niagara Bruce Trail is a 900 km marked footpath that runs along the Niagara Escarpment and it’s a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The hostel is a member of the Bruce Trail Conservancy which organises outings.
