Hi Walt, greetings from Brisbane Australia. A question I stayed at a youth hostel in Rome in 68 was a villa supposedly built by Mussolini. Can’t find any information on the net. Any clues from you. Allan.
My understanding is that it was the Florence youth hostel “Ostello Villa Camerata” that was Mussolini’s villa. I stayed there in 1969 and then proceeded to the Rome hostel, which looked like a bunker. The Florence hostel still operates today, and still has the same wooden tables outdoors that they used 50 years ago.
