Hostel Hullu Poro welcomes you to the Levi Ski Resort in Finnish Lapland

Levi is the biggest ski resort in the Finnish Lapland. And it now hosts a new hostel: Hostel Hullu Poro (‘Crazy Reindeer’). The hostel accommodates its guests in 4-bed flats, which each has a little kitchenette, lounge, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Next to the hostel is also a new, relaxed Restaurant Messi. These are within walking distance from the centre of the village.

Levi is great for visits around the year, but winter is definitely the liveliest season. January is the best time to catch the Northern lights. In springtime, March and April, do pack your sunglasses with you, since the sunny weather and snow make a bright combination. It’s great time to enjoy both downhill skiing as well as cross-country skiing. You don’t have to be equipped with skiing gear yourself, because you can rent everything in Levi, even ski apparel.

The village offers a wide range of services and activities. You can enjoy spa and sauna, try out winter swimming (and even learn to enjoy it too!). Other activities available are dog sledge and reindeer safaris, snowmobile safaris, snowshoeing…

Levi also hosts the northernmost Alpine Ski World Cup, which is held each year in November.

And the best place to enjoy the après-ski scene? Pub Hölmölä, it’s a relaxed, quirky pub in the centre of the village.

The surrounding nature is a great contrast to the well serviced ski resort. It is real wilderness where you’ll meet more reindeers than people.
