Eggs-cellent accommodation for families at Easter! This year try a hostel!

That’s it half term is done and now thoughts turn to what can we do with the kids over Easter?

Well now is the time to start planning.

There are literally hundreds of options available for those families who want to get back to basics and spend some quality time with each other if they opt for a hostel stay.

Never considered it before? Well now is the time to think again. Because hostels are definitely not what they used to be. The majority offer family rooms as standard and many will include a help yourself breakfast, sheets, towels and an evening meal*. And of course the corridor run to the toilet in the middle of the night has also vanished as most family rooms will also have their own bathrooms and toilets. In fact a hostel has practically everything that your high street hotel chain offers, but without the price tag.

So this Easter, what about immersing you and your family in hostelling? We all know that things have been tough economically but we all deserve a break and this could provide you with a solution. So here are some of our family-friendly suggestions which will hopefully help you get bitten by the hostelling bug.

Beach:

Most schools in the UK generously give their students a two-week break over Easter. So what about putting this time to good use and booking up a beach break in a family hostel? Why not try Portugal? Just over two hours flying time away, the weather is almost guaranteed to be better  than in the UK. Our hostel in Portimao not only is geared up to families, it has its own pool and sun loungers. What more could you ask for? Details are here>>>>

Chocolate:

Where else in the world is there to go for chocolate other than Belgium? Not only is it a country full of culture, it also has its fair share of shops devoted to this calorific creation. You know you will be on to a winner with the kids with this destination, so why not check out our hostels here for a perfect Easter break? Find out more here>>>

What about this brilliant biking terrain in Snowdonia?

Cycling:

Fun and fresh air is always better on two wheels, so why not pick a hostel in the UK which is near some brilliant biking terrain? How about Conwy in North Wales? The hostel here is superbly placed to discover Snowdonia National Park – all of which you can do on your cycle with the kids in tow. To find out more about the Conwy hostel click here>>>
