Throughout 2012 SYHA Hostelling Scotland will continue to offer a range of great value, exciting activity holidays. Suitable for all levels of experience and fitness, they include favourites such as Torridon and Skye Munros, guided walking tours and new adventures for 2012 include a Celtic story-telling and songs weekend at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel and Bushcraft Skills at Glen Nevis Youth Hostel.

Celtic Story Telling at Loch Ossian

The new Celtic story-telling and songs weekend at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel focuses on the Ossian legend, with professional story tellers. On the weekend there will be an opportunity to enjoy these stories in English and Gaelic beside Loch Ossian, with quiet reflective time, time to create your own stories and maps using journals and painting and time to take reflective walks.

Bushcraft Weekend at Glen Nevis Youth Hostel

Another new adventure for 2012 is a Bushcraft Weekend at Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, at the foot of Britain’s highest peak, which is perfect for learning some fundamental bushcraft survival skills. Uniquely this course is run in partnership with the only activity provider with permission to do bushcraft skills in the area. A course not one to be missed!
