Dearest Harish

I wish you well on your epic journey – I would so love to join you for a part of it. Let me know your itinerary in Europe. I could quite possibly meet you in Slovenia. I will be holding an online conference with our Peace Volunteers in August this year so do join us for that too!

I am well – but missing the world of Youth Hostels terribly..

Best wishes to you on your adventure

In love and peace

I believe this web site holds some really excellent info for everyone. « He is able who thinks he is able. » by Buddha.

Dear Friends,
Presently I am running in 83rd year and I still remember one trek with Dr. Harish Saxena and so many with Mr. M.L.Bhandari, the then national treasurer. I was a member of both YHAI and Delhi Mountaineering Association, and for few years I took up the responsibility of an office bearer of DMA when Mr. Murari Lal was the secretary and Major Ahluwalia was the president of DMA. I went up to Everest Base camp with Mr. Bhandari, K.M. Kamboj and Mr. Rajinder Puri. I am still young and four years back I went to Seattle (USA) and couldn’t resist my desire to climb up the mountain. I did climbing for one hour but due to paucity of time I covered almost a kilometer and then came back as the darkness was almost piercing the sunlight, and we wanted to reach home in time. My friends say that I am hale and hearty at this age only due to trekking, which I did for nearly thirty or more years. I lead several teams of Lady Sri Ram College of girls and boys from Government schools, and being with young people during my life time, I still feel young. I joined three expeditions of foreign parties and guided them for their need and also acted as an interpreter between them and the men with ponies and pithoos. I still remember the places and funny conversation with friends, staying in tents by the sides of rivers, baking chapattis and peeling of potatoes. Sometimes we faced menacing conditions while tramping long journey on undulating rough terrain with heavy backpack on our shoulders. These are all blessed memories, which are my precious possessions and will remain throughout with me.
