YHA England and Wales this autumn successfully completed a £155k refurbishment of YHA Poppit Sands.  The 34 bed, self catering Youth Hostel overlooking Cardigan Island and Cardigan Bay has been transformed into a modern comfortable Youth Hostel for the future. The successful  project included a brand new self catering kitchen, refurbished toilets and showers, new beds, new soft furnishings and re decoration through out. The end result have exceeded all expectations and given us a fantastic self catering hostel for all hostellers to enjoy, for many years to come.

YHA Poppit Sands does around 3500 overnights each year and is looking forward to a successful 2012 especially with the launch of the new all Wales coastal path. Walkers’ families and groups are all welcome at the hostel. The hostel employs a full time manager and uses a team of volunteers throughout the season to help welcome and look after our guest, who will no doubt be thrilled with the project results.

The hostel is now open for sole use groups over the winter period on our Escape to scheme and fully opens for the season on the 1st March 2012.
