Sydney Harbour YHA Wins Green Initiative Award

STAY WYSE Green Initiative Award

STAY WYSE – the Association of Youth Travel Accommodation, is a not-for profit organisation that offers support, intelligence and representation for hostels, booking agents and tour operators within the global accommodation industry. Their globally recognised Green Initiative Award goes to the organisation that has made the greatest effort in reducing their environmental impact and making sustainable travel an integral part of their operating practices.

Sydney Harbour YHA STAYWYSE Green Initiative AwardThis is the first year for the Green Initiative Award and on September 23rd at the World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC) in Barcelona, it was awarded to Sydney Harbour YHA.

Julian Ledger, CEO of YHA Australia Ltd was at the event to pick up the award along with Julie Freeman and Mandy Monk.

Sydney Harbour YHA is the only backpacker hostel in The Rocks – Sydney’s historic harbourside precinct. It is a great place to stay right in the heart of the city and perfect for all of Sydney’s tourist attractions.
