More hostels are due to go live soon but for now we would like to introduce this picturesque hostel that is close to the sea and located in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered countries of the world – Montenegro.
Montenegro
For the past 5 years there has been a growing increase in travellers to the country of Montenegro and it’s pretty easy to see why. Montenegro is a small country in the southern part of the Mediterranean that has recently acquired the affectionate title of being the ‘Hidden Pearl of the Mediterranean’. The country suffered badly during the Balkan Wars in the 1990s and it is only within the last few years that Montenegro has placed itself firmly on the global map of international tourism.
Montenegro Attractions
The climate in Montenegro varies considerably with the coastal regions enjoying a Mediterranean climate of dry summers and mild winters, while northern and central regions are prone to blisteringly hot summers with snow still persisting on the mountain peaks throughout spring. Montenegro is a small country just a fraction of the size of England, but it is beautiful with a wealth of attractions including glorious beaches, idyllic fishing villages, lush rolling pastures, national parks, incredible monasteries and spectacular mountain scenery.
Hostel Anton in Tivat
You can find Hostel Anton in the small town of Tivat right in the middle of Boka Kotorska Bay, the largest fjord in the Mediterranean Sea. The hostel is just 500 metres from the sea and offers an incredible sea-view for visitors and also a lush green garden from which to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds the hostel and Montenegro has to offer.
Anton Hostel staff pride themselves on being artistic and creative and there will be plenty of opportunities to listen to bands, musicians and travelling theatres or join in on classes for painting, writing and jewellery making. Artists and musicians also receive an extra 10% discount so it may be worth dusting off that guitar before you visit!
Local Attractions
The hostel is conveniently located 3km from Tivat Airport and just 2km from the bus station which allows ease of access and easy transfer to the many fantastic attractions Montenegro has to offer. Just 7km away is Kotor, an ancient fortified town and UNESCO World Heritage Site and a little further down the coast is Budva, a popular resort with fantastic beaches and vibrant nightlife. The capital of Montenegro Podgorica is also within easy reach being less than 90km away.
